phwoar, first entry since July last year!

i'm drunk from last night, at work trying to finish an article that i've been taking ALL WEEK to write. worst case of writers block ever, doubt being drunk will help much.

went to a workmates farewell last night, his house backs onto that hospital near hutt st, there were lots of hospital beds parked in the car park...they were calling my name...i gave in and they hurt me. mighty impressive graze on my knee, with a scratch running down to my shin, a bruise on the other knee and a hilarious cut across my wrist right across the veins!

hmm, now all i have to do is write the intro and conclusion and a bit inbetween...that sounds like the whole fucking article, have to send in an hour :(

i just said yes to going to a workmate's suprise birthday wine tasting on Sunday.....it starts at 9:30am!

Jess and I (Blonde Gorilla) had the best practise on Sunday! (we probably only played for 45 minutes tops!) We wrote our first song together (well, Jess mainly wrote it), it's called Power Cunny and has a metal chorus. It's sooo good. Can't wait till we practise again! somk record this weekend and smite for tiger are slowely getting their shit together. yay, my music drought is over! I am no longer barren! wahooo!

the best thing about my new flat is that the floor covering in every room is lino - meaning that you can be in bed, need to vom, and literally just hold your head over the edge of the bed and puke onto the floor! Tried and tested, it works a treat. BEST HOUSE EVER!

off to sydney for ONE NIGHT! for an exhibition opening, flight and accommodation free of charge.

YIPPPEEEE + I just bought myself an iPod!! Yip Yip. I've only popped three cd's on it so far (there was more on there, but I accidently deleted them. baa)

what a week! I LOVE SYDNEY! I can't wait to move there -- but it'll take a little longer than anticipated...i didn't get the job. booo hooo to me. I know that this will sound cheesy, but what the hell.. the guy that go the job is sooooo amazing that I really am blown away that they even had to THINK about giving the job to him!! I can't believe I was in the running, I'm high on losing man!!! they said that alot of the choice was made because the guy lives in sydney and has 'contacts' and can' afford the lifestyle'. Hell, I can afford the lifestyle, I'm workin back late, nibbling kabana (w/cheese in it!) and drinkin G+T - my NEW drink of choice!! - from a plastic cup w/ a HUGE slice of lemon coz my knife was blunt.

soooooo much to tell, i got hit by a bus!! SO FUCKED UP!! I'm ok, well, I now have a yellow/green bruise on my right breast and my nipple was errect for two days EMBARRASSING!! my left hand blew up to twice its size, but now has an unimpressive bruise. baaa. damn buses running red lights....an me not looking!!

ok, I don't have SOOOOO MUCH TO TELL, that was it. I think I'm getting drunk at work. I'm hoping to buy a cheap version of an iPod tomorrow, so excited!! I had to travel from 2pm (rural NSW) till 8pm (Adelaide) yesterday without any music and too many screaming babies on Public Transport. I died and went to hell.

the boring drama of whether or not i got the sydney job continues to loom

i was told that i would be told by the end of this week if i'm in or not. then last night i get an email saying that 'we'll chat about where we're up to with the job' when i get to sydney on tuesday. what does that MEAN? either they want to introduce me to the other person who was conducting the interview for a once over, or they want to tell me nicely when I'm there that i didn't get it. i mean, if i got it then you'd think they'd just tell me, right? BAH. i dunno. i'm so bored of thinking/stressing about it. Its nearly been two weeks since the interview. how rude not to know by now. i should spit on their gallery floor when i arrive

Just got an email from the guy that interviewed me for the sydney job - we were emailing because of my current job - and he said that he would talk to me later in the week - which I think means that he'll tell me calling me later in the week to tell me if I've got the job or not. Is he trying to kill me with suspense? Bastard. Hopefully I'll have something great to write about by the weekend.

Being told that they've shortlisted and I'm one of two people for the job is killing me. my guts tell me i ain't got it, which is cool, just wish they'd hurry up and tell me. i'm 1 of 4 people to be interviewed for the awesome sydney job that I applied for last week!! wahooooooo!! it's only a phone interview, no damn flight up there (maybe the job isn't as glam as i thought).......so i guess the hair appt i made in the hope that i'd get an interview isn't entirely necessary any more, though maybe i'll just ooze sass over the phone!!!

ahhhh sooo much boozin on the weekend, sooooooo much champagne and the best punch evs at tori + pauls engagement. absynth in punch = awesome! (but horrible tasting fruit at the bottom) so much grinding on the deserted dance floor (except for the one admirer that Nick and I had "hey nick, looks who's watching, let's GRIND")

Jess and Kynan, best house ever. Soooooooooooooooooooooo jealous.

damn. just found out that Hunter S Thompson shot himself. never really thought he was the suicide type. he was obviously fucked in the head, and uber self destructive, but still. it's dumb to be sad over someone that you don't even know dying or needing to topple themselves, but it's still sad that he did it.

I'm obsessed with LeTigre, well mainly Kathleen Hannah and will just die if I don't get to see them. I can't make any of the Adelaide or Melbourne shows so it looks like I'm spending a CRAZY amount of mola to see them for one night of bliss in Sydney. Damn g'friend.

I just decided the name of my 'solo project' and the name of one of the songs, only to realise that the title and even concept of one of the songs was exact to a very well known Vines song. hahahahahahaha. The beauty is that I didn't even realise + I needed someone else to point it out to me. hahahahahahahaahaha. I always knew I had a connection with them that ran deep, that's why I cried through their entire set at the BDO and needed buffo Banham to hold me up. Ahhhhh. This is going to be one disastrous CD!

ahhhh, home sweet home. had an awesome holiday but being home is sooo good. I love my u-pillow so much. I'm never gonna travel that much in 6 days ever again adelaide-sydney-kiama-sydney-'gong-kiama-canberra-sydney-adelaide. No wonder I went to bed at 7:30 last night! Thanx to Jess and Kyanan for rad hang out time! So many bands, so much vodka + beer (not together)Now I save up for my New Zealand trip + I can't wait!!
I've got another art opening on this thurs if anyones interested in free booze n food (+ art). 6pm Kintolai Gallery 103 Hindley Street. Hope I don't chuck in a gutter after this one!
